Neus Solà (Barcelona, 1984) is a visual artist working across photography, video and art direction.
Her practice explores the body and territory through contemporary forms of folk culture, creating visual universes that connect identity, ritual and landscape. She works between artistic research and collaboration with artists and cultural projects.
Through image, she engages with symbolic imaginaries and the relationships between identity, ritual and landscape, developing a visual language that moves between artistic research and creation.
Her work connects human presence, memory and place, often informed by ecofeminist perspectives and visual anthropology. Her images move between documentary sensitivity and symbolic representation, where gestures and fragments of the body interact with landscape, suggesting the body as a living territory.
Alongside her artistic practice, she collaborates with artists, performers and cultural projects, creating portraits and visual narratives with a strong sense of presence and identity.
She is a member of Women Photograph and co-founder of Meteora, a creative studio working across photography, video and art direction for brands. She also develops educational and participatory projects through aladeriva Lab.
Her work has been exhibited internationally and recognised through festivals and awards such as ManifestO Festival (Toulouse), Prix HSBC pour la Photographie (Paris) and the International Women Photographers Award (Paris).
She has participated in artistic residencies and workshops including the Niort Artist Residency (France), the Eddie Adams Workshop (New York) and the Centre d’Art i Natura de Farrera (Catalan Pyrinées).
She lives and works between Barcelona and La Floresta (Sant Cugat).
